  2. Very late to this party but I want to say, Adam, The way you dealt with the battery and the clip was very impressive. When you started considering them I was thinking to myself, Now how is he going to get the battery out of that spot at the bottom when the battery needs to be re-charged? You tipped it upside down!n Great solution! Your build motivated me to make a similar item for my soldering gizmos and gadgets. Thank you for taking the time to share this project!

  3. I've recently become an addicted fan of this channel. Of course Adam is delightful and mad, but I really appreciate the off-screen workers who do such a great job of showing his process. I'm never going to make a Star Track suit, or whatever, but I realized what I love, and what is so satisfying about these vids, is that I get to witness this great problem solver at work. I know that has a lot to do with good filming and great editing decisions… so thanks to all of you!

  4. Why not power it off of a power supply, instead of a battery? Seems to be a lot more efficient and convenient that way

  5. Just bought a TS100 soldering iron tonight, had one final fight with my old iron just not holding temp. Never looking back.

  6. Awesome bit of kit! Although I found it pretty weird that you made a whole spot for the blow torch, and had no where for the heat shrink to go. What else is the torch for? Heat shrink, and wire for that matter, are just as essential as the iron and solder! You can use one of those cheap candle lighters or a Bic to shrink heat shrink. Seems like an oversight

  7. man I want to know where he got those helping hand clips. I hate the alligator clip ones that every version of the tool comes with…

  8. An idle mind…is the devil's workshop.
    Practice soldering skill…grasshopper.

  9. Yep cant find that Dewalt battery adapter anywhere, can find the usb, but not the 12V port. And fortunatly Mr Savage didnt put the link, Genius.

  10. Adam, if you want something really strong, but still to look top-notch, would it be advisable to take a piece of Baltic Birch plywood and apply A-grade veneers to it? Or is it not worth it and you should just go with hardwood lumber?

  11. Loved it… right up to the very last comment "do not leave the battery…" Are you KIDDING ME? throws the whole thing in the trash … no way I remember to take out the battery every time, and I will be pissed every time that I need to track down the battery that I couldn't leave in there

  12. You can bring a lipo battery back to life. Just hit it straight with a nine volt battery for a few seconds. It will get enough voltage to come back to life. This happens to Fatshark FPV batteries.

  13. Adam. I don't want to say this but i think it's time you step away from the old way of doing things and into the new. This project worked out great and it looks good and functions good as well. But 3D Printing would have been a perfect process for this build. It's new and something to learn but it's a great skill and tool for making almost anything. I recommend looking into it.

  14. Watching Adam frenetically dabbing on wood glue reminds me of why Jamie was so often frustrated by his work habits.

  15. soldering a parallel joint without even twisting the wires together first?

    you monster.
