  1. Btw you may heard of dewalt battery adapter for 18v tools these battery adapters came from the named brand (dewalt) they cost around 30 dollars if I am not mistaken but it will convert 20v to 18v tool but you can't use the flex tool simply because it does not fit it

  2. I didn't have much luck with Waitley batteries. I got 2 and one doesn't work on some of my DeWalt tools, unless you fiddle with it, and even then it stops working. It seems like they take too long to charge, charging takes twice as long as the time I get for usage. It seems like……. If I was to guess more like the DeWalt 1 or 2 HM. Weak, not a long lasting battery. I reach for every other batterie before them. DeWalt sucked us into all these better tools and then stuck it to us with the battery prices. I feel cheated. I have 12 DeWalt cordless tools and 10 batteries.

  3. There are dozens of videos on this subject. This is the only one that actually gives me enough information to determine whether name brand are worth the cost. I'm subscribing, and thank you.

  4. it's how it work.
cheaper to buy the kit than single battery. so you end up with the whole range XD

  5. Thank you for this very in-depth analysis, while I bought two of the lower cost batteries that were in your test and it didn’t take me long to realize that outcome was exactly as you did at a much more scientific level. I only buy DeWalt batteries after trying the cheaper batteries just once. I have watched many of your various tests and appreciate your knowledge and level of details you provide. As I consider other ideas for you to try, I’ll be sure to reach out to you with my thoughts. Thank You

  6. Wouldn't be surprised if we started seeing fake waitley batteries being sold on eBay and Amazon, adding further confusion.
Myself I've replaced the cells themselves, but this can also be problematic as individual cells are often marked at much higher mah ratings than they actually are.

  7. I'd like to see you do the same test but with DeWalt Flexvolt 20/60 batteries and the knockoffs

  8. So what your telling me is, instead of buying 10 18650 batteries for my flashlights, I need to buy a waitley tool battery, and just take it apart

  9. very nice breakdown, I was looking at getting some cheap batteries but quite a lot of people where putting in the comments that theirs had stopped working within a month.

  10. A video on printer ink replacements and printers ink. Seams the printer companies are sticken it to the consumer

  11. There are some older tools I still love. My two old 14.4v Ryobi drills are still in great shape, but the NiCd batteries were dead. So I bought 2 compatible Lithium replacements. They actually worked well.

  12. What do I do if I have a lot of Dewalt Batteries (18volt), but want to purchase a 12volt Milwaukee tool? If I use one of the adapters will I burn out the motor in the Milwaukee tool?

  13. You should do a part 2 of this test and see what their life cycle is like. Say do 100 charge and discharge cycles then test their outputs.

  14. The price of some batteries are a joke! Bought my son a Erbauer drill, I guess it's the European version of the US Baurer brand. His drill has better performance than my Bosch and the batteries are almost a third of the price!!!

  15. MilwaukeeM18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion HIGH OUTPUT XC 8.0 Ah Battery, So milwaukee wants 199.99 for this batterie is it really worth it? And the price is on the current HomeDepot website.

  16. I just got some Ryobi replacements called yongcell from Amazon. I don’t think they last quite as long and wouldn’t doubt they have a shorter lifespan. Then again I saved $85 on 2 and the old ones died from my 6 year old leaving tools out in the rain which could very well happen again. I’d be more wary with my Milwaukee tools but that’s why he uses the cheap tools

  17. So sad that we have become a throw away consumer market. It is cheaper to buy new than to fix old.
Also most items you return to stores are just thrown out in the dumpster.
20% if your lucky of the items you put in your garbage recycle bin ever get recycled. The recycle cost for 80% of those items is more than a company can buy newly produced. The whole recycle push was an industry scam from day 1. So glad our government officials take lobbyist gifts and screw us in the process.

  18. dewalt is my #1 brand that i purchase due to their longetivity. Please dont crush my dreams 🤣🤣🤣
can you replace the 18650 batteries to see if housing makes a difference?
eg: buy a cheap housing with sony/lg/samsung batteries for best run?

  19. Todd reminds me of a Science teacher of whom I was privileged to have been a student.
Methodical, patient, thorough and real world application.

  21. i love china brand named TECCPO cordless drill😅 can you review/comparison to your dewalt expensive drill? Let me see. .

  22. How about testing the cheaper batteries against the Makita brands? makita's are the most expensive batteries, I'd like to see if any of those are with the money.

  23. Considering the majority of power tool battery usage is intermittent and lower draw, with the exception of the obvious poorer quality ones, the run time of cheaper batteries would be negligible for most people, while the cost savings could definitely be significant. That being said, it comes down to use case scenarios for each individual as to which replacement battery would be best for them.

  24. Would it possible to provide a link for the$35 Whaitley batteries for the DeWalt XRP drill? Can't seem to find them. Tnx

  25. If the quality of your work depends on power tools you're using- there's no discussion whether you buy cheap aftermarket or original batteries. But for people like me cheaper alternative is a good alternative. Most used "tools" I have are Makita lawn mover and trimmer. Saws and drills are used 10 days per year;)
Drill set was purchased back in 2008. Hope it will last me another 13 years
