Information related to the topic Kinki Studio EX-B7 Monoblock amplifier review !.

I have been featuring these in practically all of my amplifier reviews and speaker reviews and they have somewhat become my reference for the past month.
The Kinki Studio B7 amplifiers have always been compared to high end audio amplifiers in the $15,000 – $20,000 category. I paired this amplifier with many audiophile speakers – both high end and budget speakers. In this video, we see if it stands up to its hype.

  1. Excellent review. I'm going to purchase amplifiers and line stage, the price to performance ratio is to good to pass up. Also getting their THR-1 Headphone Amp. Thanks.

  2. They have XLR inputs but are they truly balanced? I can’t find those specs on their site and I’m thinking of buying three monoblocks and two of their 2 channel amps for my theater/listening room.

  3. Why is the Internet loaded with hardcore shilling for this brand? They appear nothing special from a design or parts standpoint.

  4. I'm really tempted to buy a pair of these but also tempted by a pair of Purite/Eigentakt monoblocks. Does anyone have any ideas/views as to how they would compare?

Jay mentions that that the Eigentakt runs the Kinkis close and I'd be looking at the March Audio version which has a PSU for each module.

  5. Do you have access to Goldmund amplifiers? These monos are Goldmund knockoffs, a comparison to the way more expensive original would be interesting. They really look pretty inside.

  6. Having seen and read many reviews of these monoblocks, all glowing with positivity, and being in the market for amplification upgrade, I rolled the dice and purchased the B7 monoblocks with the P7 pre-amp, unheard! They replace my excellent Rega Elicit, or do they?

I honestly expected the difference to be night and day. Perhaps those glowing reviews had built up my expectations too high, because it wasn’t! Not even dusk and dawn!

Yes, they sound good. Detailed and muscular! But, to my personal preference, the mid-range is a little dry, particularly noticeable with male vocals. The bass, if such a phenomena exists is a touch over controlled. I like the bass to be tight and quick, but also fluent. To me, with the Kinki’s the bass seems to have lost fluidity, sounding, slightly disjointed! Ion the plus side, low volume listening retains excellent tonality. I’m using the premium Rrr da CA cables as interconnects, as supplied FOC by Kinki. I have tried using expensive XLR cables, which should enhance the performance, but could only get 1channel working. I need to establish whether the fault lies with the cable or pre-amp which I’ll do when I get a replacement XLR cable.

Now, all that having been said, my Rega Elicit has been the beating heart of my hifi rig for many years and has just been refurbished b by Rega. I’m ultimately intimately familiar with it’s sonic signature. Kinki Recomend at least 300 hours ‘burn in time’ if you hold with that hypothesis? I’m no where that figure yet.

I’m praying that the Kinki’s will evolve to fulfill my expectations. If not, I may have to revert to my trusty Rega and cut my losses.

  7. This only goes to show what a rip off the Mcintosh are💩💩💩, that goes for the Mark and Levinson as well as PS Audio, try competing with Dan D Agostino, Esoteric and T+A , I am sure you will find bigger and more dramatic differences there.

  8. Kinki is a Chinese brand. They advertise they have the goldmund sound with a fraction of the price. When I audition kinki mono block with Magico A1, it is a joke. It sounds so boring, not revealing at all. I feel the overstatement from kinki. Price determines quality. Magico A1 is very good with Gryphon Diablo 300 but I end up buying Hegel H390 with high watts, current and damping factor.

  9. $3500 for a mono channel amp isn't high end price anymore? Dude, you are way too rich to relate to most of us working class.
You must be expecting a cheap system cost $100,000?

  10. I would love to pair these Kinki amps with a Schiit DAC, I think it would be some awesome Kinki Schiit. 🤣

  11. Given the price point and your glowing review they definitely sound like the amps to beat. I've actually had my eye on the Vincent SP-T700 Class-A Hybrid mono power amplifier for a while now and I'll definitely be adding this amp to my short list.

  12. I am new to all of this. I would be interested in a tutorial on how you setup a system with 2 amps like this. How do you share the source between the 2? A crossover or is there another way?
