  1. Real Braw Awl's Mike. They are class. Made a couple myself after viewing your video a while ago. Very satisfying to use home made tools. Thanks

  2. Made one of these after watching your video this morning. Had so much fun I'm in the middle of making another. There is something very satisfying about making something practical. Great video thanks.

  3. J St Perre – I enjoy your videos very much, learned a lot. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

  4. I have a couple of quick questions: on your Amazon Associate link the price is $17. for the music wire for (7) pieces, 36" long. Is that correct? In the reviews on Amazon it looks like some people got seven pieces, some got one. Maybe they were using a different link?? If I go through your link and order something that's not on your associate page, do you get a commission on that also? I want you to get the commission on my total Amazon order if that's possible. Thanks for your help sir.

  5. muy bonito video pero pos no tengo torno y comprar uno saldria muy caro desde guadalajara mexico

  6. Good gift idea Mike. Inspired by your AAW journal article I turned one for myself today from a plum wood scrap, and then came across your video. Well done. I will certainly turn some others as gifts. Incidentally friends doing knot work might like a shorter spiked version to use as a fid.

  7. Odd question…I am teaching a young lady with multiple disabilities how to sew on a machine. An awl would be very helpful for her at times but I need it ball point. They have them for sewing but not local and after the cost of the awl $13 and shipped $8…it just is not in her limited budget. But big box stores have inexpensive pointed awls, any ideas on how to either ball point them or make them dull? Thank you so much…any advice is welcomed.

  8. Another fun project. As with most of your videos what we learn can be used on many different projects around the shop.
I do have a question about BARN STARS do you have any information on patterns
    Thanks

  9. Thanks for the great video! About year ago I made some bradawls, but the process you took in making it is so much better! Will definitely have a go at making a few more now :)

  10. Very nice Mike. I would have liked to see the end of the texturing tool though. I have never understood exactly how they worked. I really liked the highlighting of the texturing.

  11. This is the exact same way I made 6in1 screwdrivers for Christmas last year. Watching this gave me an idea to use a chainsaw file instead of an awl. Now I have a weekend project
