  1. My gbh 24 vre is not working well and the battery is not last longer please is the solution

  2. What would be an advantage of an SDS-Max system in comparison to a SDS-Plus (except the bigger sizes)? Can you drill smaller holes with an SDS-Max?

  3. We got our first sds+ machine this week. What an awesome piece of kit. Just got it to drill holes initially but my partner used the pointed tip so take down a wall as well ( I had taken down half the old fashioned way) it made such short work of it. The big hammer may of been slightly faster but made way more mess and was exhausting.

Only cost £60 as well ( titan brand)

Just wish they done metal bits for the sds system as well.

  4. I almost exclusively use sds hammer drills, they are just too versatile wheather you work with masonary, concrete, wood, metal or just want to drive in some screws they get the job done. Now I own a Ryobi 18V P222 cordless hammer drill and it perfectly suits my needs especially the built in chisel only mode gives it even more versatility (perfect for removing tiles). I also have 2 corded SDS Max Hilti's for some heavier work.

  5. just a question, can i use sds drill bit on normal cordless hammer drill say Dewalt DCD796?

  6. how much faster is the m12 milwaukee sds drill compared to a standard cordless hammer drill like this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00L3XK06C/ref=asc_df_B00L3XK06C52672218/?tag=googshopuk-21&creative=22110&creativeASIN=B00L3XK06C&linkCode=df0&hvadid=222086461140&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7904840278110851586&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045532&hvtargid=pla-388810362897&th=1&psc=1
do you think its worth getting this as someone who uses a sds drill more than once a week. have a low budget and want a lightweight sds thats faster than a hammer drill.

  7. Hi ultimate Handyman, tonight I removed the chuck following the video, but I can't get it back on, what is the trick many thanks

  8. Hi, do you need to grease the sds chuck regular? what type of grease is used in the chuck, thanks Ian

  9. Just picked up the dch 253 dewalt for a bargain along wth a 18v 4 amp battery …would like to know your thoughts on this piec of eqp.

  10. You'd think the "ultimate handyman" would know what the piston is and not call it a hammer. LOL other than that was an educational video for those who don't know

  11. Not sure why you picked the smallest Milwaukee sds they make an m18 that kicks ass. And with the new 9.0 battery you can throw away all that junk you have shown who needs that cord. Good tools cost money and you get what you pay for !

  12. Hi, I've just moved home and tired to use my cordless drill into brick, useless. I'm going get a SDS one but it's only for home use. I'm looking spend about £100. any recommendations please. great video too

  13. sir, i want to drill a screw to hold my light on the ceiling which is concrete…is there any cheap drill and what V is need to drill through concrete
    ?

  14. why did my SDS come with a chuck? also it dial that flips between hammer and drilling and a switch that flips between hammer and drilling..why two ways to switch?

  15. What kind of grease do you use for the drill shanks? On forums some suggest just using ordinary grease (some even mentioned just using WD40 or nothing atall!), whilst others say it will damage the plastic/rubber seals of the chuck, and you should only use special bit grease. It's unclear what this special grease is – some mention molybdenum sulphide, some graphite, some copper grease. On eHow they even suggest you can use petroleum jelly, beeswax or ''metal soap" (which seems to be a form of linseed oil). Makita seem to be about the only firm out there doing bit grease and it's pretty expensive. So it would be good to know if there are any valid alternatives.

  16. I already have a 910v sds drill (performance power from B&Q), which does the job for me. So don't want to spend too much £60/100 would be the max. I don't want a battery operated one as over time they loose their charge and replacement batteries then become an issue as the models are constantly changing.
    Thanks.

  17. Thanks for the video lesson. Especially re greasing the drill bits. Handy tip. 😊 I have an sds drill but does not have a reverse function, which would be handy as I'm an avid diyer. Any recommendations on one with the reverse function would be much appreciated. Thanks.
