  7. use kaolinite clay.. fireplace mortor.. or kaolinite from Georgia.. and borax.. about 10% on this.. with the super glue.. with shellac.. with Elmer's glue.. it scratches aluminum.. 4 on the Moh's scale of hardness.. polishes like gold.. cheap..

  8. I have just used super glue alone in the nut and filed down.The open string rings clear and it has not worn down in years.

  10. Oddity here…… I'm a guitar strumming car guy. I've used this trick to fix plastic car parts as well. It saved my bacon on a 1970 Mustang Mach 1 restoration more than once.
