  1. I've used chemical guys and mothers. I don't mind spending the extra money to make my car maintained but to me mothers is the best.

  2. this really helps with making a proper decision on what to buy and what to combine. thanks for the great video

  3. I think (know) I'll use the Mother's California Gold Synthetic Paste Wax & Dr. Beasley's products for my matte black hood & trunk on my Indigo Blue 2018 T/A "392" Challenger! Great video & thanks for your time …

  4. You know what would be a good comparison test? Instead of removing the tape, drive around for a month with the tape on for a month, wash the hood again and then do a water sheeting test to see which wax has lasted the test of time.

  5. I started waxing car truck motorcycles last year using mother wax it's best was out there it the top of the line was everything else no good you only have to wax the car or truck ones a year with mother Brazilian wax ever thing I have for sprayed cleaner for shine for the in side auto and I live in canada it not 10.00its22.00 a can of you want a nice job done get mother Brazilian wax I know what I am talking about Aaron

  6. Which one is better? Mothers synthetic wax or turtle ice synthetic wax? I can't decide between the two. please help.

  7. Dude, although I have several Mother's waxes in my arsenal, I don't understand why you continue to douche good ole TW Hardshell. As I watch and respect many of your video's, like you, I always have my vehicles prepped cleaned and butter smooth. In this context I find the Hardshell very easy to apply and remove…not to mention the excellent depth of shine and longevity. I KNOW your cars are at least similarly prepped…what gives? I must say I find the the Mother's pure Carnuba paste considerably more difficult to work with…although it makes my red GTI look bad-ass…your thoughts?

  8. Nice review Accord79. Being older I always used pure carnauba, maybe for the smell as it didn't seem like work to wax a car…more like dessert. Lol. Never used the syn but might try it from your review.

  9. Do you recommend using the syntetic wax sealant and after a certain time apply pure carnauba wax?

  10. Nice Vid.     I just picked up a 2010 Red (metallic) Prius with nice paint… except for the two panels I had painted.   I would like to make the paint last as long as possible.  It will be out in the NC sun all year round.  I thought the goal with waxes now was not to bead, but to sheet off… as the beads can act like magnifying glasses and burn micro spots into the paint?    I am guessing the Synthetic would be the best route… and perhaps to use carnauba or a spray wax often to keep it up?  What do you think?

I have not had much luck with paint on my last few cars, but to be fair they were old.  Just sold a 2001 Black sebring sedan with horrible paint and gel coat.  I had used clay and a lot of McGuire products, and eventually just the stuff at the car wash and yes it gets confusing with the numbers and parallel but unclear and never tied in instructions.  Before that a green one that did OK, before that a Lincoln… before that a Black Toyota GTS with horrible gel coat issues.

  11. I think I still like Brazilian Carnuba cleaner wax over their Synthetic liquid wax. Not sure why everybody says synthetic lasts longer, I didn't get more then 4 weeks before the wax was completely depleted on my car, which is parked outdoors 24/7. When I used to garage my car(which was pretty much at night only, so it still saw full sunlight), I would be able to go maybe 6-8 weeks on Carnuba wax. Also, seems like this synthetic stuff attracts dust/pollen like crazy, and makes the dust stick!

The synthetic wax is junk IMO. I've got maybe 3 more waxes left on my bottle of synthetic, I will be going back to carnuba.

  12. thanks, Acc0rd79, for the review. Great information and very thorough. Your video helped me sort out my options. I finally selected Mother's synthetic wax.

  13. do you have any more vids review just for the top coat reflections? does it last longer compared to carnauba?

  14. what paste wax won't stain black trim ? I know there is spray waxes and liquid waxing but I'm a big fan of paste wax any pointers thank you

  15. I have the Mothers Brazilian Carnauba Cleaner Wax. I quit using this wax because I found many tiny bit of 'sand' like material in it. Every time I wash my wax applicator, this tiny 'sand' is very hard to come off and most of it stuck in the foam cell. It just PITA. Because of this wax, scratches on my car become more noticeable (can see from 5 feet away). Now I'm switching to liquid wax. I got peace of mind.

  16. I HAVE Mother's wax Brazilian Carnauba Cleaner. i try this wax. and why its very hard to clean it or to take off the wax?? what is the cause? its because of the weather or what?

  17. I tried Zymol a while back and it resulted in a great shine. It didn't seem to last past the first or second wash though.

  18. I've tried a ton of waxes and sealants over the years and I came to the conclusion that I like Mothers Reflections the most. I can't say it looks the best or protects the best. However it's by far the easiest to work with and has a pleasant smell. My personal feeling is that the easier it is to work with the less likely you are to add imperfections.
