The classic Zippo lighter is hard to beat, but I decided to see if the much more expensive Exotic TitanLIGHT could do just that. So I filled them both and waited to see just how long the fluid would last in each one. It’s been over 4 months now so let’s see what happens when we try them.

  1. Wow, you look old for a one-day old! JK. Thanks for this comparison. I bought the Exotac Fire Sleeve for the disposable lighters. Keep them dry and prevents accidental gas purging.

  2. Exotac titanlight sucks BIG TIME. I have 2. Really wanted to love it. It simply dosent make sense. A little bit of fluid and its overfilled and sets your hand and the whole lighter in fire. Too litle, and it lasts way to short time in comparison with how big the leighter is. Really played a LOT around with it. Waste of money.

  3. Just got my Exotac Titanlight. Everything is good and You can even carry it on Your keychain – it's a little bigger then Zippo additional fuel container. But there is one huge incovinience – flint replacing procedure. I've checked it before fueled my lighter, wanted to know how everything works. And that brass pin doesn't work well at all. You gonna need a nail and a hammer to get it out and then to put it back in place. And You will really have to knock with the hammer, because if the pin doesn't go to his place completely, it wil be scratching the cap. I don't get it, why didn't the do it like Zippo, where You really can replace a flint with bare hands in one moment?
Strange that none of the bloggers mentioned that moment…

  4. Ya gotta carry a Zippo in a leather case on Your belt in the front and your Buck 112 upside down in the middle of your back in a Black leather case also…..with a good pair of red wing engineer Boots….then You got it together 🤣

  5. Very useful review. I've struggled with the Zippo evaporation problem and considered the Exotac. This video was the push I needed.

  6. Treat em like Bruce Lee said about martial arts. Never settle on one style. Some you can use daily…but they break, don't work instantly when cold or wet. I've seen more than one busted Bic.
Some are tougher…like Zippo…but you have to keep it filled, and wicks in good shape. Exotac can be stored for months without evapration. It should be there when you need it, if you use it daily it's the same as a Zippo…but won't burn your leg if it's in your pocket😂you can use excess flint from a Bic for the other two, or a tinder quick if you run out of fuel, and wanna build a fire.

  7. buy 10 bic disposable lighters and put in in sealed plastic will cost a fraction and probably will work better in campings and fishing…

  8. I found a Scripto piezo lighter and put in my pocket more than a year ago. It's still 1/3 to 1/2 full and lights every time.

  9. I was debating either trying Ranger bands on my Zippos or ordering an Exotac Titan Light when I came across your vid, thanks for saving me the trouble of experimenting.

  10. Have carried a zippo for 30+ years just like my truck it needs fuel to make it go!! The exotac is a neat little lighter may have to have one anyhow

  11. Always carry lighter fluid, and flints, because I hate running out of fluid.. Honestly Love Zippo and kinda feels blasphemous to use anything else,!!

  12. I carry two zippos in my pack, one is blaze orange the other is matte black like the ww2 zippos, but i put a thunderbird butane insert in them both , the orange has a torch insert and the other has a soft flame it burns and looks just like a regular zippo insert and best part is that i dont lose any fuel

  13. You were born in 2019? Well, it's like we thought…. you were born yesterday!!! Only kidding, thanks for the review and the information.
